| well, i had decided to take the position.. then the more i thought about it, i realized the timing just isn't right at the moment. i had wanted to start grad school in the fall because i know if i don't do it now then i won't ever do it. also, i heard that they may start requiring the GRE starting next year for education masters. so even more reason to do it now or at least go ahead and get in while i dont have to take that garbage.
also, montessori is a LOT of work, and i would want to be able to commit myself to it fully. if i did grad school at the same time.. it would be too much.
SO, i told the principal all this and she respected my decision, and told me that if the opportunity comes up again, i will be the first she comes to.
i made it through my first year teaching, and it went by way too fast.
BUT, i'm definitely thankful for a break.

| i'll post pictures of my house soon.
my principal offered me a montessori position, teaching 3-6 year olds next year. it's pretty much a dream job, but just bad timing.. or is it?
i wanted to start grad school next year.. it would be very hard to do first year montessori and first year grad school at the same time. also.. there is a 7 week training in new york this summer... while living in new york would be awesome, i would be alone, i just got settled in my new house, i woudlnt be able to go to the beach, new orleans, or d.c. this summer... it just really changes the relaxing summer i had planned... but it may be worth it.. it's really a great opportunity.
also, i can hardly handle being 10 minutes away from my home and living in my own house.. much less living in new york for 7 consecutive weeks by myself.
but it could also be the best experience.
oh yeah.. she asked me yesterday.. she wanted to know right then my answer.. i have not stopped thinking about it.. i have to decide very soon..
